A Gastronomical Soirée at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena

It's been a decade since the landmark joined Langham Hotel & Resorts, and the Pasadena destination is ready to celebrate.

ENJOYING A FESTIVE DINNER... at an elegant restaurant in honor of a big anniversary? It's a tradition that's widely and joyfully observed by couples, friends, neighbors, and anyone who just can't let a major moment pass without a few toasts and some stirring speeches. But anniversaries can be enjoyed by hotels, too, and while The Langham Huntington, Pasadena can trace its grand roots back to the early 20th century, it also has a 10th-anniversary celebration on the horizon. For it was just about a decade ago when the landmark joined Langham Hotels & Resorts, and, to honor that auspicious new chapter, The Royce Wood-Fired Steakhouse will be offer a sumptuous 10th anniversary...

CHEFS DE CUISINE DINNER... on Wednesday, Jan. 31. It's a six-course event, and each course will be helmed by another masterful food pro. But there's a charming twist, one that not many restaurants can boast: All six chefs contributing to the night are current or previous Chefs de Cuisine at the hotel, either having served at The Royce or in the Dining Room. Two current chefs, Chef de Cuisine Dominique Shelton and Monaliza Ayson, the pastry chef at The Langham, are participating, as well as Craig Strong of Studio Restaurant at Montage Laguna Beach, David Feau of Wally's Beverly Hills, Michael Voltaggio of Ink.Well and Strfsh, and Perry Pollaci of Firefly. The best anniversary parties do boast a reunion-esque, come-together-y element, and this one shall, too, most definitely. On the menu? Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, Smoked Octopus, and several other delicacies.

"AN EXTRAORDINARY EVENING OF GASTRONOMY"... on tap for those who love The Langham, Pasadena, historic hotels, and fresh chapters, as well as any foodie who adores the idea of a return-home night for chefs associated with a lauded kitchen. It's $175, not including tax and gratuity, and reservations may be made by ringing The Royce at 626-585-6410.
