That's Julefest, Solvang's multi-week whimsy that involves a tree lighting, shopping events, a parade, a pageant, pastries, and the famous Solvang Christmas Tree Burn in early January. If you're hoping for a day, though, that's about trying the pinot noirs of the Santa Ynez Valley, and the ales and stouts, too, gaze now, into the future, through the fir boughs and glittering bulbs to the...

SECOND WEEKEND IN DECEMBER: That's when the Skål Stroll will take place, and fifteen wineries and breweries are on board, including Dascomb Cellars and Royal Oaks. The 2017 dates are Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 10, and count on the village to be in the full festive swing by then. More Julefestian cheer? Here.
