Celebrating Easter and Spring with Chocolate Truffles

Chocolates are a perfect way to celebrate Easter and Spring! California Live’s Malou Nubla goes inside the Dandelion Chocolate Factory in San Francisco for a lesson in making truffles with Head Chocolatier, Ashley Ugarte. From beans to bon bons, Ashley breaks down the chocolate-making process and shows us how truffles can easily be made at home using a couple ingredients. Delight in a homemade sweet treat, recipe is below. -DANDELION CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES 18 Dandelion Chocolate large chips 2 ounces of milk, cream, or alternative milk 2 ounces of ground chocolate 2 ounces of cocoa nibs Warm the cream, to a slight boil Pour over chocolate Whisk together Set mixture in a pan Scoop and roll Roll 1” truffle balls in toppings of your choice Suggested truffle toppings: coconut, nuts, sprinkles, cocoa nibs, edible spring flowers (pink cherry blossoms)
