Upcycling Made Easy with Paul Zahn

Paul shares ideas, tips, and recipes on how to upcycle household items that would otherwise be discarded. From non-dairy milk to a refreshing cocktail, making it better for the environment and for your wallet. Find the recipes below. RECIPES -DIY OAT MILK 1 cup old fashioned oats 2 tbsp honey 3 cups water 1 pinch of salt Pour all ingredients into a blender and blend for 1 minute. Take a cheese cloth and place over a large bowl. Pour blender contents into cheese cloth slowly to strain the oats. Repeat straining, if needed. -WATERMELON MINT SANGRIA 3 parts Sauvignon Blanc 3 parts watermelon puree 2 parts passion fruit liqueur 1 part vodka 1/2 part lemon juice Build all ingredients in iced mixing tin. Shake and top with soda. Garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel -CROCKPOT RICE PUDDING 4 cups oat milk 1 cup jasmine rice 1/2 cup coconut sugar 1/2 cup dates 1 tablespoon of chia seeds 1 teaspoon of cinnamon 1 teaspoon of nutmeg Set crock pot to low and place all ingredients in crock pot and stir. Let cook for two hours stirring occasionally. After two hours, serve warm or place in refrigerator for a cold treat. Top with dates or fruit of choice
