Massive Commercial Fire Burns Wood Shop in South LA

A commercial structure fire in South Los Angeles erupted on Sunday night.

Eliana Moreno and Newschopper4 Bravo were overhead at approximately 9:30 p.m., and the LA County Fire Department responded to a wood shop fire.

The fire erupted at 5875 S. Hooper Avenue, a couple blocks south of Slauson Avenue on the border of the Central-Alameda and Firestone-Florence neighborhoods of South Los Angeles. The fire spread to the top of a nearby building, but firefighters knocked down the flames at about 11 p.m.
