LA's Oddest Plays

Bizarre-o titles worth a look on name alone.

If you've seen "The Nutcracker" more times than you care to recall, maybe it's time to spin the roulette wheel for date night. We can't vouch for the quality of these plays, but their names alone demand attention.

A Tuna Christmas: 'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the third-smallest town in Texas, "seasonal traumas" ensued. But in a funny way.

AKA: Eat the Runt: Given that the tagline is "a dramedy with dire consequences," it's safe to assume this is not an homage to the fruit-shaped candies of the '80s. Unless it's very creative marketing from 1-800-Dentists.

All About Walken: Less bizarre than oddly titillating, this title is as it sounds: one hour devoted to the quirky, sleepy-eyed actor who makes creepy so delicious. More cowbell, baby.

Kidnapped by Craigslist: You can find the darndest things on Craigslist. Explore the fringes of the Internet and the bizarre minds that post there in this one-hour play that riffs off real-life listings.

Truly bizarre? Go wild, take a chance and report back.
