A mom and her baby girl were reunited in La Mirada early Friday afternoon after the toddler was found wandering alone along the boulevard.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department launched a search in the area after a neighbor found the girl, estimated to be 2 years old, wandering in the 12900 block of La Mirada Blvd. at about 10:16 a.m.
The girl's aunt was babysitting and fell asleep. The toddler opened the door and got out, LASD told NBC4.
Deputies tweeted a photo not showing the child's face amid the search.
