2 Deputies Airlifted to Hospital After Rollover Crash in Malibu

Two deputies were airlifted to the hospital after crashing their patrol car in Malibu. Kate Larsen reports for the NBC4 News at 11 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2015.

Two Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were airlifted to the hospital after crashing their cruiser on a winding canyon road in Malibu on Sunday night, sheriff's officials said.

Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, a sheriff's news release said, and a spokesman said they were released from the hospital before 5 a.m. Monday.

The deputies, a male and female, were responding to a call with their lights and siren on when their patrol car crashed into a guardrail and rolled over at Kanan Dume and Latigo Canyon roads (map), a sheriff's spokesman said.

No one else was involved in the crash.
