Bystander Wounded In Road Rage Clash Between Two Motorists

An innocent bystander is expected to survive a gunshot wound suffered when he was caught in the middle of a road-rage confrontation between two motorists in Montebello, a police lieutenant said Saturday.

The shooting occurred about 10 p.m. Friday on Telegraph Road near Greenwood Avenue, according to a watch commander at the Montebello Police Department.

The victim was shot in front of the Best Star Inn, 7533 Telegraph Road, according to sources at the scene.

No description of the two vehicles was released.
