Man Coming Home From Work Killed in Gang Crossfire

A father of two was fatally struck by a stray bullet when he was caught in the crossfire of a car-to-car shooting in Canoga Park. Toni Guinyard reports for the NBC4 News at Noon on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015.

A man driving home from work was killed Tuesday when two suspected gang members exchanged gun fire during a car-to-car shooting, police said.

The shooting occurred at 6 p.m. in the 7200 block of Eton Avenue in Canoga Park, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Two rival gang members racing down the street shot at each other from their vehicles, said Jack Richter, an LAPD spokesperson.

One of the stray bullets struck and killed the victim, police said. 

Investigators were trying to gather information from potential witnesses. There were no descriptions yet of the vehicles the suspected shooters were driving, according to the LAPD.
