Student Struck, Injured by Car in South Los Angeles

A student who was hit while crossing a street complained of a leg injury, officials say

A student suffered a leg injury after being struck by a vehicle near a South Los Angeles high school.

The student, whose age is unknown, was struck in the 2900 block of West 70th Street while crossing a street. The crash occurred near Crenshaw Charter High School, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victim was taken to a hospital after complaining of a leg injury, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The driver stopped after the collision and was not facing any criminal charges, officials said.
