Child Shot in Exposition Park

A 3-year-old girl was struck by a stray bullet during a shooting in Exposition Park April 15, 2017. Rick Montanez reports for NBC4 News.

A child was shot in the Exposition Park neighborhood of Los Angeles Saturday afternoon.

The shooting was reported about 4:30 p.m. in the area of Walton Avenue and West 39th Street.

About 10 to 15 people were outside a home when a car pulled up, someone got out and opened fire.

A 3-year-old girl who was inside the home was struck in the face. She is expected to survive the attack and is now in stable condition.

The car involved is described as a newer model gray car. There were multiple people inside the car, according to LAPD's Capt. Darnell Davenport.
