Crash in Beverly Hills Shuts Down Sunset Blvd., No Deaths

Considering the carnage at the scene, it's shocking that the crash did not record any fatalities

A car crash in Beverly Hills shuts down Sunset Blvd. in both directions, and Newschopper4 Bravo is overhead to see the wreckage, where, miraculously, no one died.

A bad crash in Beverly Hills shut down Sunset Boulevard in both directions on Saturday night.

Newschopper4 Bravo was over the scene near Foothill Road and caught a view of survivors being treated. However, firefighters seemed acutely aware of an individual still trapped within the vehicle.

In this instance, flames did not appear to be a concern, but one survivor was clearly stuck inside the sports utility vehicle long after the others had exited, relatively unharmed.

Eventually, firefighters pulled the final survivor to safety and immediately transported the injured person, with Newschopper4 Bravo overhead to catch the rescue.

According to Beverly Hills Police Lt. Scott Dowling, three to four people were expected to be transported for injuries to nearby Cedars Sinai Medical Center, though none of the injuries were expected to be life threatening. Six survivors did not require transport per Dowling.

In addition, police said alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the two-car collision.
