A dead body was found at the base of a cliff in San Pedro on Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department performed a hoist rescue at 4102 South Pacific Ave. around 3 p.m. to retrieve the body.
The age and gender of the person is unknown at this time.
The body was transported to the coroner’s office.
