Mulch Fire Breaks Out in Irvine, Smoke Fills Sky

No structures were threatened, according to Orange County Fire Authority.

A viewer sent in this cellphone video that captured smoke billowing into the sky in Irvine. The Orange County Fire Authority confirmed it was battling the blaze Sunday night, Nov. 8, 2015.

A mulch fire broke out Sunday afternoon, prompting Twitter users to alert NBC4, as the Orange County Fire Authority confirmed firefighters were battling the blaze.

The fire was reported at 4:18 p.m. in the 8000 block of Marine Way in Irvine.

It was not threatening any structures, according to the OC Fire Authority.

Five fire engines were on scene to take care of the blaze.

The fire broke out at "e-Recycling of California," a recycling center process facility.
