La Cañada Flintridge Fire Burns Near Homes

A blaze in La Cañada Flintridge burned three acres uphill toward homes Monday evening, but no structures were affected and no one was injured.

The fire broke out around 9 p.m. Fire officials set up a command post at 1900 block of Parkdale.

Firefighters were making water drops and were able to contain the fire to three acres, a Los Angeles County Fire Department official said.

Knockdown was called at 10:38 p.m., the official said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
