Firefighters Knock Down Fire at Business in Southern LA County

A second alarm was declared requesting additional units

Firefighters battled an early-morning fire that broke out in Thursday in an industrial area of southern Los Angeles County.

The fire was reported around 2:30 a.m. in the 100 block of W. 131st Street in the Willowbrook area, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. A roof collapsed during the fire.

A second alarm was declared by the battalion chief requesting additional crews help battle the blaze. Live wires were reported hanging down near the fire, the fire department said.

It was unclear if any firefighters were injured during the fire.
