Concerns Over Sex-Spread “Superbug” Hit California

The Centers for Disease Control are asking Congress for $50 million to help fight a drug-resistant form of gonorrhea. The aggressive “superbug” is being spread by unprotected sex, and can cause a number of health problems including infertility. Cases have been confirmed in Hawaii, and it has also surfaced in California. Whit Johnson reports from Downtown LA for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on May 1, 2013.
