Gene Patent Decision Could Lower Cost of Cancer Tests

A new Supreme Court ruling could bring down the cost for certain cancer gene tests, which could in turn save lives. The ruling would allow for other companies to offer tests that let women know if they are at greater risk for developing breast or ovarian. A Burbank woman had to fight to get the test, after her insurance company denied it twice. Ana Garcia reports for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on June 13, 2013.
