A hit-and-run driver crashed into a power pole early Tuesday morning in Sun Valley, exposing dangerous live wires, police said.
The collision was reported just before 3 a.m. in the 9800 block of Sunland Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The vehicle completely sheared the power pole from its base, leaving live wires exposed, according to the LAPD.
Police were searching for the driver, who fled from the vehicle after the crash, according to the LAPD.
No power outages were reported as a result of the crash.
