Losing Car in Mountain Highway Fire Fails to Deter Family Trip to Snow

With rain, snow, slick highways, wind, and fog–not to mention chain control–the powerful storm made it challenging to get to the mountains this holiday weekend. The Bettinger family of Orange County faced an even bigger obstacle: driving up to a ski resort, their car caught fire and burned intensely. Shaken, suddenly car-less, but undeterred, they found a way to finish their trip. Patrick Healy reports for the NBC4 News at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017.
