Knott's Berry Farm “Not on the Ball” in WindSeeker Inspections, Officials Say

An NBC4 I-Team investigation finds that state inspectors had serious concerns about the WindSeeker long before it opened at Knott’s Berry Farm in 2011. Inspectors say it took an unusually-high 17 visits before the WindSeeker manufactured by Mondial Rides of the Netherlands was in compliance with industry ride and safety standards. Six WindSeeker rides in the U.S. and Canada have been shuttered during an investigation into chronic ride breakdowns, two of which happened at Knott’s Berry Farm this month.
