LAUSD Hires Campus Aides to Help Beef Up Security

A mass shooting at Connecticut elementary school inspired a new security step at schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District. The district is hiring extra security staff called “campus aides,” and they hope to have at least 1,000 aides at schools across the county soon.
