Life Connected: Corona Library Breaks the Cycle of Illiteracy

Now the director of the Corona Library’s Literacy Program, John Zickefoose was functionally illiterate until he was 35. That’s when he turned to the Corona Library, where tutors have been teaching adults and children how to read for three decades. About 30 million adult Americans are illiterate, according to the most recent National Assessment of Adult Literacy. Jacob Rascon reports for the NBC4 News at 11 p.m. on Jan. 22, 2013.
