At least six people were injured Wednesday in a crash involving a jack-knifed big rig near the 71 and 60 freeway interchange. Jacob Rascon reports for the NBC4 News at Noon on Dec. 26, 2012.

A big rig and three other vehicles were involved in a crash Wednesday near the 71 and 60 freeway interchange in the Pomona area.

The northbound 71 Freeway was closed at Rio Rancho Road, near the 60 Freeway, during the crash investigation and cleanup. The road reopened at about 11:30 a.m.

Six people were injured. At least three victims were hospitalized in critical condition, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department

Aerial video showed a jack-knifed big rig and two cars with significant damage. A sport utility vehicle crashed through a nearby chain-link fence.

"He just couldn't control the truck anymore," said Rosa Carrasco, wife of the big rig driver. "Probably because it was wet."

Rain was reported throughout the region early Wednesday.
