Police in Hawaii are investigating reports of alleged hazing within a boys soccer team from an Orange County parochial school.
The alleged incidents, which are being investigated by the police in Honolulu, involved players from the Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Rancho Santa Margarita.
Investigators with the Waikiki substation of the Honolulu Police Department are looking into the allegations, Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Jim Amormino said.
The sheriff's department will assist as needed, he said, but it has not yet been asked to do so.
Amormino would not provide details about the alleged hazing, and authorities in Hawaii reached NBC4 were unable to shed light on the allegations.
An item posted on the school's website recounted the team's games during the late December and early January trip.
"The Eagles returned to Santa Margarita early Friday morning, January 4th after a successful road trip to the island of Oahu, Hawaii," the item said.

Calls to the school were directed to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange.
Stephen Bohannon of the diocese's Office of Media Relations issued the following statement:
The incident was not a matter of public safety. Santa Margarita is dealing with the issue in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures.
