2-Acre Brush Fire Related to Car Crash Shuts Malibu Canyon Road

Firefighters are battling a roughly two-acre fire in Malibu where a car went over the side of a road, fire officials said.

The fire closed Malibu Canyon Road in both directions between Pacific Coast Highway and Piuma Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The fire was related to the crash of a vehicle that drove over the side of Malibu Canyon Road south of the tunnel. Firefighters were working to resuce the occupants of the vehicle.
