The string of Hollywood fires continued Saturday making it the third consecutive night of infernos in the Southland.
The fourth reported blaze of the evening broke out in West Hollywood around 9 p.m. just south of Santa Monica Boulevard in the 1300 block of Sweetzer Avenue.
About a dozen fire trucks responded and the roads immediately around the scene were closed to traffic.
Firefighters responded to even more blazes in Hollywood carports just a few hours earlier.
Shortly before 6 p.m., simultaneous fires occurred within a block of each other off Fountain Avenue.
One fire in the 6900 block of Fountain Avenue near Mansfield Avenue took 10 firefighters six minutes to extinguish. Initial reports noted this fire as occurring on Fountain and Orange avenues.
No injuries were reported and the flames were contained to the vehicle, according to fire officials.
Another fire nearby in the 1300 block of Citrus Avenue was also reported and put out before the blaze spread into the vehicle or the apartment complex overhead. An additional fire occurred off Fountain Avenue near Orange Avenue.
Arson investigators have been called to all of Saturday's fire scenes.

It has not been confirmed whether Saturday evening’s incidents were connected to the string of nearly 30 intentionally set blazes that have plagued Hollywood, North Hollywood, West Hollywood and other nearby areas since Thursday.
The person or group responsible for the fires appeared to be targeting cars parked in carports or in residential areas.
Hollywood's club and bar scene is prime real estate for New Year's Eve partiers, many of whom have expressed fear on a night intended for celebration.
"This is new years, we’re supposed to be having fun, not worrying about if my car or my apartment is going to be set on fire," said Shawn Alex, a Hollywood resident who lives near the scene of one of the blazes.
Alex has lived in Hollywood since 2000 and said he has never seen an event like this week’s rash of fires.
No arrests have been made related to Saturday's fires, according to police and fire officials.
Officials with Los Angeles County Fire said they will monitor the night's events and plan to have compiled information by tomorrow morning.
