A pursuit that began in the San Fernando Valley ended with arrests after California Highway Patrol officers deployed a spike strip on the 118 Freeway in the Simi Valley area.
The chase began after a report of a reckless and speeding driver.
The chase in the west San Fernando Valley and continued west into Simi Valley, where a spike strip destroyed at least one of the Nissan Altima's tires. The CHP executed a PIT maneuver on State Route 23 and boxed in the damaged sedan.
The driver and a passenger were taken into custody.
