Epileptic Dog Reunited With Culver City Owner

A Culver City family who feared for their epileptic dog's health after it went missing when their home was burglarized was reunited with their pet on Saturday, police said.

The family's Shetland sheepdog, named Savvy, was missing when they returned home Friday morning and found their home was broken into.

On Saturday evening, police said the "dog is in good health" and was reunited its owner.

Police earlier said the incident was an ongoing investigation and that they didn't know whether the dog was stolen during the burglary or ran away.

The brown, white and black dog has epilepsy and needed its medication urgently, according to a flyer posted on Facebook. Savvy was last seen near Port and Slauson streets near the I-405 and SR-90 freeways.
