Firefighters knocked down a fire early Tuesday at a popular Anaheim restaurant that served patrons for decades out of the small building on Ball Road near Beach Boulevard.

The fire at the Little Caboose Taco Shop burned the kitchen and seating area, according to fire officials. The fire in the 2900 block of Ball Road was knocked down in about 15 minutes.

"It's a very well established, very popular restaurant," said Battalion Chief Scott Berg.

A post on the restaurant's Facebook page early Tuesday: "This morning The Little Caboose Taco Shop Inc. caught on fire. Thank you for your kind words and support during this time. We appreciate your 35 year patronage."

A damage estimate was not immediately available. No injuries were reported.

The first call was received at 3:16 a.m. Firefighters had just responded to a fire at a nearby carport.

Arson investigators were called to both locations.

Anyone with information about the fires can contact the Anaheim Fire Department at 714-765-4000.
