Flames Race From Vacant House to Trees in Hollywood Neighborhood

At least one person in a neighboring home was rescued from the Friday morning fire in Hollywood.

The dramatic rescue of a 93-year-old-woman from a fire was captured by News Chopper Alpha 4 Friday Morning. Neighbors were worried a fire like this could happen in the last years. Ted Chen reports for the NBC4 News on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021.

Firefighters protected residences from a fire that started at a vacant house and spread to nearby trees Friday in a Hollywood neighborhood.

The vacant house burned in the 1200 block of North Bronson Avenue. Nearby buildings, including a three-story apartment, were threatened by flames, but firefighters on ladders were able to protect other residences.

One person was injured, suffering what authorities described as minor burns.

Details about a cause of the fire were not immediately available.
