Three people were killed early Sunday after the driver of a Honda Accord that was traveling at high speed on a curve slammed into an oncoming vehicle in Granada Hills.

All three deceased victims -- men in their 30s -- were in the Accord. Two died at the scene and one person was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash -- a Chevy Volt -- was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Fire-rescue crews extricated the four victims from the wreckage of the vehicles.

The crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. near Rinaldi Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard (map). The Accord driver was traveling eastbound on Rinaldi Street at high speed on a curve when he crashed into the oncoming Volt, according to crash investigators.

Authorities found a case of beer in the Accord. Results of toxicology tests were not available early Sunday morning.
