Two Pedestrians Injured in Hollywood Hit-and-Run Crash

The victims were crossing Highland Avenue near Selma Avenue when they were hit by an SUV

Two pedestrians were injured in a hit-and-run crash early Tuesday at a Hollywood intersection.

The victims were struck at about 2 a.m. near the corner of Selma and Highland avenues (map).

The couple was crossing Highland Avenue when a sport utility vehicle driver turned into the intersection from Selma Avenue. The driver of the dark color SUV left the location after hitting the pedestrians.

The dark color SUV -- possibly a Mercedes-Benz -- likely sustained front-end damage, but no other details regarding its description were available.

Both victims were hospitalized with injuries described as moderate.

The location is between Hollywood and Sunset boulevards.
