Man Jumps From Window to Escape Glendale Strip Mall Fire

The three-alarm fire took more than two hours to put out.

One person was injured in an early morning fire in Glendale when he jumped from the second floor to escape the flames, a witness said.

The three-alarm fire swept through a two-story structure in a strip mall at 233 N. Brand Avenue at 12:15 a.m., a Glendale fire dispatcher said.

One person was injured after he jumped from the second floor, said a witness at the scene.

Several gas lines fed fuel to the fire making it more difficult to put out, authorities said.

Firefighters put out the blaze at 2:21 a.m., officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The injured man was taken to a hospital.
