A K-9 named Deja was a doggone hero Tuesday after tracking down the scent of a kidnapped girl and not resting until she was rescued in Rancho Cucamonga.
A girl went missing from her home around 3 a.m. Tuesday, prompting a search in the mountains, according to the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department.
Deja and her San Bernardino County Sheriff's Twin Peaks Station handler arrived, helping to find the girl after she was seen being taken by an unknown man into the woods.

Researchers have been tracking one of the mothers of the mountain lion kittens since April 2014 and the other since April 2015. Both litters, discovered in June 2016, are suspected to have the same father, P-38, who was seen traveling and spending time with both adult female cats.
