An LAX motorcyle officer was injured in a hit-and-run crash early Tuesday morning in Playa Del Rey, police said.
The crash was reported around 12:15 a.m. near the intersection of Pershing Drive and W. Manchester Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The driver who crashed into the officer was arrested, airport police said.
The officer, a 14-year veteran of the department, was transported to a hospital with two fractured wrists and cuts.
The cause of the crash was unknown.
Four people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash, police said.
