Deputies were investigating a shooting in a Marina del Rey parking lot Sunday afternoon.
Investigators arrived in the area of Panay Way and Via Marina at 12:15 p.m. to find a 45-year-old man had been shot in his torso, the LA County Sheriff's Department said.
The man was found near a playground, which concerned parents.
He was taken to the hospital.
There was no suspect information available.
