Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies are continuing their search for three men who posed as police officers and forced their way into a home Sunday. A group of men posed as police officers when they forced their way into a Southern California home and tied up a family Sunday night, officials said.
Two of the men knocked on the front door of the home in the 400 block of Charmindale Road in Diamond Bar about 8:30 p.m., said Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputy Tom Lines.
The two, dressed as police officers, told the woman who answered the door that they needed to search the home for illegal activity, Lines said. The woman then asked them to show identification, but they forced their way past her into the home.
The third man is believed to have entered through a back door, Lines said.
The men took the woman, her three children and their grandmother into a bedroom and tied them up, officials said. While tying up the fifth person, the grandmother, the men randomly stopped and fled the home.
One of the men disguised as an officer donned a tactical vest and fake badge, officials said.
Residents told NBC4 this type of crime is very unusual for the neighborhood.

No one was injured in the home invasion, but the men escaped with cash and jewelry, officials said.
