Neighbors of an elderly woman who was found dead in her San Bernardino home expressed outrage on Thursday over the woman's suspected murder.
Mary Beth Blaskey, 76, was found dead inside her home Wednesday afternoon by her son who stopped by to drive her to a doctor appointment.
Her home, in the 3000 block of N. Fremontia Drive, showed signs of being ransacked, police said. Her television and computers are missing, as is her Lexus ES-300.
Blaskey’s Lexus has California license plates 4ULT539.
“If you come across that vehicle, call your local law enforcement immediately,” said Lt. Paul Williams of the San Bernardino Police Department. “That vehicle could have suspects in it and could also have evidence in it.”
Crystal Blake and Charles Crossley, longtime friends of Blaskey, spent Thursday posting signs about the missing car.
“She was just an all-around excellent person,” Blake said. “We hope they’re caught. We hope anybody can help.”

What adds to the shock of it all is what friends called Blaskey’s overt generosity. She would have given robbers whatever they asked, friends suspect.
“Absolutely,” said neighbor Geri Jure. “I mean, she would not have put up a fight. That’s why it doesn’t make sense to me. Why would they have killed her?”
“It is so horrible that someone would take her life,” said Jure. “She was a small, wonderful little lady.”
