Travelers Take to Social Media to Share Scenes from LAX Shooting

A gunman removed a semi-automatic rifle from a bag at a Los Angeles International Airport security checkpoint Friday morning and opened fire, according to airport police.

The shooter killed a 39-year-old Transportation Security Administration employee and wounded two other TSA officers before continuing to fire rounds inside the terminal as travelers sought cover, airport police said.

Passengers stranded at LAX after the deadly shooting shared scenes from the chaos that ensued when planes were evacuated and delayed.
