Pet of the Week: Patches

Meet Patches, the pet of the week for Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019.

Patches is a 10-year-old spayed female cat. Her owner surrendered her to the shelter because they were moving out of state. She has been at the West Valley Animal Shelter for 4 months.

At first she wasn't very friendly, but she's been placed in a community cat room with other cats where she has coexisted very well. The last two weeks she has improved greatly.

Patches now allows the volunteers to pet her and pick her up and hold her. She might hiss when you first approach her, but she warms up quickly and even lets out a purr!

She would do best in a quiet home without small children.
