Trucking Company Evacuated for Search After High-Speed Pursuit

Homeowners noticed someone trying to pry open their window, leading to the start of the pursuit in Huntington Beach

A pursuit that began after homeowners noticed someone trying to pry open their window led to  evacuations and a search Thursday afternoon at a business near a busy freeway interchange.

At least one person involved in the pursuit ran into a trucking company building near the 710 and 91 freeways at the end of the high-speed pursuit. Aerial video showed law enforcement officers escorting workers from the sprawling building.

Homeowners in Huntington Beach called police earlier Thursday to report two men attempting to break into their home through a window. They homeowners' information, including a vehicle license plate number, helped police find the subjects.

The driver traveled on several Orange County freeways before crashing near the 710 and 91 freeways in southern Los Angeles County. Both men ran from the vehicle and into the trucking business.
