Police on Wednesday sought the public's help to find a man accused of groping women on a Canoga Park bike path.

At least three women told police they were attacked Monday night along the Canoga Avenue bike path, officials said.

The women told police that the man rode up on a bicycle and grabbed them from behind.

"He’s approaching girls from behind so you can’t see him," said LAPD Detective Nick Abbinanti. "As soon as the victims are aware of what’s going on, he’s speeding off on his bike."

The warning from police has women concerned and taking precautions.

"I’m always on the phone with someone when I’m riding, that way they can hear everything that goes on," said Kim Davis, who rides her bike along the path.

In all of the cases, the women didn't get a close look at the man, who they said had a had a black backpack, authorities said.
