Across the state, snow from a series of winter storms is great news for California's water supply and photographers looking for an alluring backdrop

From the Sierra Nevada to coastal ranges, mountains across California are blanketed in snow right now. And, they look spectacular.

California's Mountains Are Blanketed in Snow

California's statewide snowpack is at 124 percent of normal after about a week's worth of unrelenting storms. That's great for the state's water supply -- and those snow-capped peaks make a stunning backdrop.
