Man Surrenders After Reckless Driving Pursuit Across Two Counties

A reckless driver led police on a dangerous pursuit Thursday from Fullerton to Compton after officials attempted to pull him over a traffic violation. The erratic driver drove on the wrong side of the streets at times and collided with another vehicle before surrendering.

A man surrendered after a dangerous, high-speed pursuit from Orange County to Los Angeles County Thursday night.

At approximately 10:05 p.m., authorities attempted to pull the driver over for reckless driving when the chase ensued in Fullerton. It wound north along freeways and streets and ended in Compton.

The car drove mostly with its lights out. It sped along surface streets, drove on the wrong side of the roads at times and nearly hit a bicyclist at an intersection.

At one point, he crashed into a car, but kept going.

He stopped and surrendered nearby.
