Wrong-Way Pursuit Driver Surrenders in Santa Ana

A wrong-way driver led authorities on a pursuit in Orange County before surrendering on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017.

A minivan driver wanted for driving on the wrong side of the road led authorities on a chase before surrendering in Santa Ana on Saturday afternoon.

California Highway Patrol officers pursued the driver along the 55 Freeway in Orange County before the suspect exited the freeway.

The driver continued to flee from authorities along Santa Ana streets where CHP officers attempted two unsuccessful PIT maneuvers.

He finally surrendered around 5:15 p.m. in Santa Ana where he was taken into custody.
