Suspected Car Thieves Arrested in Westchester

Two stolen vehicle suspects who ran into a business have been taken into custody, police said. Hetty Chang reports for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 7, 2015.

The two suspected car thieves who may have tried to hide in a business in Westchester were taken into custody by SWAT officers, police said.

The man and woman were suspected of stealing a car about 3 p.m. near Wiley Post Avenue and 84th Street, then leading police on a short pursuit, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The duo ditched the car at La Cienega and La Tijera boulevards and ran into a business.

A large group of officers in bullet-resistant gear entered the building with guns drawn and a K-9. When they returned they had the man in handcuffs and wearing only a shirt and underwear. The woman was also led away in handcuffs.
