Mardi Gras: You don't have to NOLA to don the beads and eat the beignets, not if you'll be around Southern California on March 5. That's Fat Tuesday, and a number of spots will sound the trumpets and accordions, including the Original Farmers Market, where Eddie Baytos & the Nervis Brothers will bring the Bourbon Street vibes, Bouzy Gastropub in Redondo Beach will rock the muffalettas and jazz, and a crawfish-eating contest will serve as a savory centerpiece at the Hot N Juicy Crawfish West Hollywood bash.
Native Voices at The Autry: Vickie Ramirez's "Pure Native," a new play produced by the "... only Equity theatre company dedicated exclusively to developing and producing new work by Native American artists," sets its timely sights on a topic that couldn't be more relevant: What happens when a bottled water company seeks to mine a reservation's H2O. It's a work that goes to the heart of community, and whether change will harm the community's closeness, with humor, timeliness, and depth. It debuts at The Autry on March 8, for a multi-week run.
'Aquaman' Costumes on Display: It can be rather difficult to swim to the very bottom of the ocean, but if you want to get an eyeful of the attire worn by some of the Big Water's biggest deities, you just might have to do so. Of course? You can skip that part, and instead make for Warner Bros. in Burbank, where the Studio Tour will now feature some of the costumes from the 2018 DC superheroes flick. There are props, too, on view, making these a visual feast for "Aquaman" aficionados and lovers of mondo flicks. It opens on March 5.

Free Family Night: Your tots dearly love a certain educational spot near the Rose Bowl, we'll guess, and they're ready to visit at any time.
