A man allegedly responsible for a hit-and-run crash that killed two bicyclists in Chatsworth has been taken into custody, authorities said Wednesday.
The crash was reported at about 7:10 p.m. at Plummer Street and Lurline Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene, the LAPD reported. Their names were withheld, pending notification of their relatives.
The motorist was arrested when the truck he was driving crashed near Knapp Street and De Soto Avenue, police said. His name was not immediately released.
